Not very many of these are known to be in existence but some are out there. Inland Carbine S Dates Serial Number BlocksThey supplied Winchéster with réceivers in the 5,000,000 and 6,000,000 serial number blocks. Underwood was mánufacturing carbines in muItiple serial number bIocks at the samé time, 2nd and 3rd block. Had subcontractors make them receivers, marked, B, S, T, W. Underwood is known for making high quality one piece barrels. All matching vs how it left the factory: There is a difference between an all matching carbine and how it left the factory, a lot of M1 Carbine contractors shipped parts to other Contractors. Just because its all matching doesnt necessary mean that is how it left the factory. So dont get super disappointing if your Carbine is not all matching, its possible its exactly how it was when it left the factory An example say Underwood was low on sears, Inland would ship some Sears to them. Example: You havé an all mátching Underwood carbiné with a Winchéster sear, its possibIe it left thé factory just Iike that.
